Summary and opinion by John Fouts.
With legal sales of recreational marijuana now available in Colorado, Washington, and now Oregon as well through dispensaries, more people are flocking to these areas to participate in high-end cannabis tours. There are a variety of options available to the discerning cannabis enthusiast from cooking classes to grow tours and dispensary visits, hotel stay and airport transportation services, and more. Acting as cannabis concierges, there are various companies that assist with arranging special services as well such as providing visitors with cannabis friendly lodging options. The city of Denver is listed specifically as a location in which hotels remain wary of cannabis consumption despite the legal status of the plant there. Vaping is the legal form of consumption in hotels, or a traveler could choose to eat edible products. Airbnb or HomeAway are listed as the best services to use to find a cannabis friendly stay. Bud and Breakfasts are another option some tourists may choose to check out. The Adagio is known to have a great 420 Happy Hour and to offer cannabis infused oil massages.
Seattle also offers many similar options, and educational opportunities to learn more about things such as growing conditions for cannabis, tours to testing labs, and visits to art shops. Cannabis is truly becoming an agri-tourism destination. Denver is considered sometimes to be the “Napa Valley of Weed”. Washington is notable for its fine offerings as well, and both destinations have a lot to choose from.

The price range from the article ranged from $129 for a 4-hour tour to $1,000. These numbers seem reasonable based on experiences provided as described especially when consideration is given to the fact that these businesses are operating in violation of federal law assuming a higher risk.
