Georgia Looks to Expand Medical Marijuana Laws

Georgia has partially legalized medical marijuana this year. Now, with a physician’s approval, it is legal to posses up to 20 ounces of cannabis oil with THC levels of 5% of lower. However, it is still illegal to grow or cultivate marijuana within Georgia borders, and there are only 8 qualifying health conditions for the possession of marijuana under the current laws. Georgians are pushing to approve expansion of the law. It’s a small step, but it’s a step in the right direction.
