Grissini (Breadsticks) with Hemp Seeds

These are great snacks, perfect for pairing paring  with any dips, pesto or hummus. You can keep them in airtight container  for at least one week.


  • Wheat flour: 80 g (1/2 cup)
  • Flour: 160 g (1 1/8 cup)
  • Honey: 1 tsp
  • Warm water: 160 ml (2/3 cup)
  • Yeast: 7 g (1 packet of dry yeast)
  • Canna olive oil: 4 Tbsp
  • Salt: 1 tsp
  • Hemp seeds: 4 Tbsp
  • Sesame seeds: 2 Tbsp


1. Canna olive oil

I really like infused olive oil, because it is very simple and clean  process, especially compared to canna-butter. Sometimes I  like to add clove of garlic to olive, to give it extra flavour.

To make olive oil infused with cannabis first you have to decarboxylate your herbs.  When this process is ready, put herbs to the mason jar, cover it with required amount of olive oil, and twist  lid on it shut tight. Next prepare a pot of water for your jar and on low heat cook for about one hour. Then strain the material and enjoy the herb infused olive oil.

2. Dough

In a bowl  combine the flours, dry yeast, salt. Next add the warm water, honey and olive oil. Mix everything thoroughly and next add hemp  and sesame seeds. Mix everything for about 5 to 7 minutes until the dough is smooth and shiny.

Let it rest. Remove the dough from the mixer bowl and transfer it to a smaller bowl. Drizzle a tiny amount of olive oil over the dough and roll it around until it has been coated. Cover with  plastic wrap, and let it sit undisturbed in a warm place for one hour or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven and prep the baking sheets. When the dough is ready, preheat your oven to 200°C and line parchment paper on the baking tray.

Divide dough for 2 parts,  roll one into a rough, flat rectangle. Slice a finger-sized piece from the long length of the rectangle with a sharp knife or a pizza cutter. Roll it into a long, irregularly shaped snake and place on the baking sheet. Continue with the remaining dough, placing the dough snakes about 1,5 cm apart. Optionally add more seeds.

Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until  turn brown.
