Sometimes our lives enter another track and rush like crazy. A lot of stress, doing business, paper-works, computer work, travels, recently we also engaged in agriculture and growing Hemp, which I am very proud off, but all of this takes a lot of time. Free time is so limited that I haven’t had time to write or to cook, so I decided to prepare the oil, so that it will always be available in case, my friends or I will need medical relief.
Preparation of the oil is very simple despite the fact that I'm doing a small amount, it’s enough for one or even two months. It can stand in a dark bottle in the refrigerator for a long time, just remember, that it is always well labelled and out of reach from children.
For the preparation of this oil, I used a strain very high in CBD, with the ratio 1: 2. THC: CBD. This is quite a new strain which is called ‘CBD jam’ and posses almost 13% of CBD which makes it suitable for daytime use, it does not cause a big feeling of high and has very unique medical properties.
I decided to make two different types of infused oils. One with an additional portion of garlic, which is very clearly perceptible and will give extra flavor to salads, pastes and other more refined dishes, while the second one with the addition of cinnamon sticks is well suited for the preparation of a more sweet breakfast or even as an addition to fruity smoothies.
The preparation of this oil is very simple.
To make olive oil infused with cannabis first you have to decarboxylate your herbs. The best results will be obtained by grinding your material first, for example by using coffee grinder and then bake it in the oven for about 40 minutes at a temperature of 195/212 F (90/100 C).
When this process is ready, divide your green in half and put the herbs into a masons jar. To one add 2 cloves of garlic, you can crush them a little to to bring out even more flavor in the oil. To the second jar add 1 cinnamon stick. Then cover each with a cup of olive oil and twist with lid. Next prepare a pot of water for your jars and on low heat cook them for about one hour, possibly two if you have the time. Then take out the jars from the pot, wait about 20 minutes so the oil is not so hot any more and strain through cheesecloth s, make sure to squeeze the cheesecloth to obtain all of the oil out of it.
That prepared infused olive oil can be used in pretty much every single recipe.
