5 Natural Herbs for a Perfect Cannabis Blend

June 03, 2020

People have been using various herbs for centuries to relieve pain and stress, improve gut health, boost energy, mood, and focus, and improve their life in many other ways. They have also been using cannabis for those and other benefits.

It’s only logical that mixing cannabis with natural herbs can provide you with some excellent health benefits. You can complement the flavor of any cannabis strain with numerous herbs, many of which you may already be using.

For instance, chamomile, lavender, jasmine, and peppermint are popular choices for creating a custom cannabis blend.

While they all make great mixes that you should try, some other herbs truly stand out. Let’s check them out.

1. Damiana

Damiana is a wild shrub that gives lovely yellow flowers. People use it for various purposes, such as treating headaches, calming the stomach, and reducing depression. It’s also known as a natural aphrodisiac.

Its mildly sedative properties have soothing, relaxing, and slightly euphoric effects, that makes it perfect for your cannabis mix.

As you may well know, cannabis has calming effects, so combining it with damiana is ideal for relaxation and tension release. It’s a match made in tranquility heaven.

If you add a damiana leaf to your cannabis, expect your favorite cannabis flavor to be enriched with a bit of spicy and minty taste. You may notice a touch of citrus flavor too. Overall, the vapor or smoke (however you use the blend) will give you quite a smooth and enjoyable experience.

2. White Sage

White sage is one of the most popular herbs, and not just among cannabis users. It’s a natural relaxant that works wonders when fighting a common cold, as it can help treat nasal congestion and clear the throat and lungs.

It can also reduce stress and anxiety, and improve mood and cognitive function, particularly memory.

Vaping or smoking white sage alone can be incredibly intense since it has a dominant flavor. If you’ve ever burned sage for its scent, you certainly know how strong it is, and the flavor is no different.

But mixing it with cannabis will take away from that strength and provide you with a very nice, relaxing experience.

It’s commonly combined with mullein to make the experience less intense, so you can try making a mix of all three.

If you want to boost the “high” effects of cannabis, add damiana to your sage-cannabis blend.

3. Mullein

Mullein is a common ingredient for adding flavor to various alcoholic drinks. It also has many medicinal uses.

Some of the best benefits of mullein include reducing pain and inflammation, improving sleep, and treating nasal congestion, cough, and other respiratory problems.

So, in a way, it’s similar to white sage, which is why blending the two is an ideal combination.

Using it with cannabis means different experiences, depending on the cannabis strain. For instance, if you use it with an Indica strain, it will relax you and help you unwind. If you use it with a Sativa strain, it will improve your focus and alertness.

4. Kratom

Most cannabis users haven’t been familiar with kratom’s health benefits until relatively recently, although the herb has been used for centuries in Asia. It has become quite a popular natural herb to pair with cannabis.

It’s most commonly used to relieve pain and anxiety, boost mood and energy, and improve focus and cognitive function. Kratom leaves can also lower blood sugar levels, so they can be great for managing diabetes. They can also be used as an aphrodisiac.

Combining kratom with cannabis will give you a nice synergy of the two, but only if you do it right.Go For  lab tested kratom products that really work.

You’ll experience the best relaxing effects if you use them separately and add some food to the mix. Consume kratom first and then eat some food before finally using cannabis. That way, you won’t get lightheaded, and you’ll enjoy the positive effects of both herbs.

Important note, Kratom can be highly addictive, please beware. Check more about this herb here

5. Passionflower

Passionflower provides almost the same effects as cannabis. It relaxes you, alleviates pain, stress, and anxiety, and makes you slightly euphoric. However, its effects are significantly less potent than those of cannabis.

Nonetheless, when you pair cannabis with passionflower, you can end up with a very pleasing and soothing experience.

Also, the passionflower can reduce THC's effects, which is excellent if you don’t like feeling too-intense “high” effects. The herb can perfectly balance it out.
