One of the biggest hemp festivals in the world. Seattle HEMPFEST, the undisputed King of Protestivals, and the largest cannabis convocation in the world.
Seattle HEMPFEST, one of the the premier flagship weed events of the global cannabis culture, is celebrating its 27th year. Hempfest’s crown jewels of achievement include its designation as the largest annual cannabis policy reform event in the world. But that could change with a single weed event. What is less likely to change is the fact that the Seattle HEMPFEST is the most sophisticated and socially responsible post festival/rally in history, and perhaps the largest annual free speech event in the nation.
With a laser focus on political content and a deep commitment to community values, Seattle’s HEMPFEST event has influenced regional and national public policy while being an economic generator in its community. Seattle’s HEMPFEST event paved the way and tilled the soil for Washington State citizens to legalize cannabis before any other state. Via Seattle Hempfest official website, read more here.
Hash Bash is an annual event held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, originally held every April 1st, but now on the first Saturday of April at high noon on the University of Michigan Diag. A collection of speeches, live music, street vending and occasional civil disobedience are centered on the goal of reforming federal, state, and local marijuana laws.
The very first Hash Bash was held on Saturday (April 1st, 1972). In response to the March 9th 1972 decision by Michigan Supreme Court declaring (unconstitutional) the law used to convict cultural activist John Sinclair for possession of two marijuana joints. This action left the State of Michigan without a law prohibiting the use of marijuana until after the weekend of April 1, 1972. Chef Ra was a fixture of the Hash Bash for 19 consecutive years before his death in late 2006. Via Annual Ann Arbor Hash Bash official website, read more here.

The New England Cannabis Network (NECANN) was conceived in 2014 during a discussion lamenting the lack of established resource hubs for the rapidly expanding Cannabis industry in New England. Events where businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, educators, patients, advocates, and consumers could connect, learn, and grow were needed, and we felt a locally owned and operated convention model focused on the New England market (and each state’s medical and recreational status) would be a superior alternative to the generic national canna-convention franchises.
Rather than focusing on what the New England Cannabis Industry can do for us, NECANN takes a collaborative approach to our shows that has resulted in consistently high ROI for exhibitors, sponsors, patients, and attendees, facilitating growth for all.
